On Larkin's Birthday - July 6th - we decided to leave the planning up to the Birthday Boy.
Which I knew meant dinner was either a jelly sandwich, or this:

He really picked going to the park for our activity, but at 6:00 pm it was still 104 degrees outside so I encouraged his second choice.

He had NO idea what he was doing.
Neither did we, really. We got way too many tokens for one 2 year old. We could've been there until his 3rd Birthday.
But he knew what he liked, and we just kept giving him tokens for the same few rides and games.
Larkin also knew what he DIDN'T like...

But in the end it all worked out, because we had just enough tickets to get the guitar.
Picture him saying that "Gee-tar". Like a true Southern Gentleman.
