Trick or Treat?

Happy Halloween from the Taylor Boys!

We had quite a few Halloween Celebrations this year, but we'll start with the BIG ONE.
Trick-or-Treating!

The night started with the traditional Halloween Parade:
Banana in the lead, with the Monkey hiding from the dogs.
Then it was right outside to start the tricks and treats - in the Wanninger's garage.

Off we went into the neighborhood to get some of the good stuff.
It. Was. Miserable.

It was cold. And raining. And people stayed in their houses!

This might not sound like a big deal, but that meant that Larkin had to go up the porch steps, ring the bell, wait for someone to open the door while a little dog yipped at the window, and then get one piece of candy for his trouble. Then back down the steps and into his wagon - all of which he insisted on doing himself.
The doorbells were the highlight of the night.
I complained. Larkin was a champ.

He made the best of the situation... sometimes going into the house to get a good look at the candy selection before making his decision.

Seriously folks. 40 degrees and raining. And he was all smiles!

He did miss his banana though. What was the banana doing all this time?
Hanging with this guy:

Eventually we made it back to the home base to start the candy dissection.

Search and destroy.

Eventually we thawed out enough to hang out and eat something other than sugar.

Happy Halloween!
