Watson is 3 Months Old!

 

Watson Monthly Review - Issue 3

• No Doc appointment this month so there is no official word on your measurements. But I think you are bigger.
• You wear 0 - 3 month clothes and size 1 diapers, but both are getting snug. Time for an upgrade!
• This month your sleep pattern went crazy. While you still stick to 8pm till 7am, you get up WAY more often than you did as a newborn. Usually you fuss and we stick the paci back in and you go right back to sleep (I do NOT); but that happens at least once a night, and often times it happens in the early morning as well. Plus you eat somewhere between 4 and 6 am.  It all adds up to me super regretting not putting you in that goofy Miracle Blanket when you were a week old. Too late to start now. Here's a favorite sleep position:

 

• You are SO CLOSE to rolling over. For some reason you don't even attempt it when you are on your belly, but you try to go from back to belly a lot. All that rolling and shifting means the back of your head looks like...

• Poor guy, you have the worst case of early-onset male pattern baldness that I've ever seen. It's like a bald mullet. A Baldlet! Or Mulled? Whatever. It's sad.
• Another new favorite sleep thing is your finger sucking. When you get tired you turn your head, put your right hand in your mouth, and pull your hair with your left hand. Also increases the hair loss. I hate the possible finger-sucking habit, but man it's cute.

• This month you also have mastered gripping small items. These cups are perfect for you. Another indicator of a future bad habit?
• I broke out Sophie the giraffe yesterday. She was a big hit, of course.

 

• You are such a mobile baby! We are on the go a lot, and you just go with the flow. Most of the time you are still sleeping every minute you are in your stroller (like this time at HallZOOween) which means we can go go go and you are along for the ride.
  

 

 

Watson, this has been a quick 3 months but they've been full of blessings for our family! You are so sweet and fun to play with and you have a big brother who can NOT WAIT for you to play with him. I pray every night (while I lie awake after getting up to put you back to sleep) for you to continue to grow strong and healthy and for you to be a man of God.
