9 Kids + 1 Apple Orchard = 2 Bazillion pictures.
Be patient.
The Moore Academy took a field trip and invited some friends along to the A & M Farm.
This place was a hit from the moment we arrived. Come on, they had a Gator!
We tried to look official and picked up an apple-picker and some buckets.
Then it was out to the wilderness to find some Golden Delicious and lots of other kinds that I can't remember the names of.
Kids EVERYWHERE.
Most of them couldn't reach the apples on the trees, so they had no problem grabbing them off of the ground.
But they did get to take turns being hoisted up to pick some. Good thing Joe was there to be our "apple picker".
Once off the trees (or ground) they usually went into a bucket.
But not all. There were a few casualties in the field.
Like at this point where every kid had an apple they were devouring. You can't see Briar and Kayl in this picture, but Briar alone ate about 4, and Kayl had one too. Watson was the only one who didn't apple-steal, and that's probably just because he couldn't reach the ground.
Eventually we stopped for lunch, which was mostly ignored because they were full of apple.
But it was Watson's chance to get out of his stroller and hang out with the big kids.
Mostly they ran around and tackled each other. Or Joe.
While the rest of us tried to figure out what to do with all these apples, some of which were a bit rotten from the ground. Those buckets were deceptively deep and the apples were tiny. We had a lot.
Watson stayed busy being cuddled from the wind.
Later it was time for the Apple Cider making tutorial. This guy walked us through the process and the kids were enthralled.
It did get a little loud...
But Watson slept.
Larkin REALLY wanted to eat another apple.
We finally stopped into the store to pay for the apples we took home as well as the ones we ate in the orchard.
And an apple cider pop.
How do you like dem apples?
