We are really taking advantage of our Zoo passes this summer. Believe it or not, these pictures ARE from the summer. Even though we are wearing long sleeves. We just pick the most beautiful days to go - so far we've been really lucky!
We don't ever see everything in one trip, so this was Larkin's first time in Manatee Springs. He was spellbound.
And of course there were Animal Encounters. That just means they bring the gross animals out and you get to touch them. Larkin always does the same thing... he looks at the zoo employee like they are crazy, reaches his hand out to quickly touch his fingers to the animal, then runs away.
But he's a good sport about it.
The best part of this trip was the Cheetah Run. He ate that show up.

And for the next month we had to talk about "cheetah runnin" every day. "REAL fast. Vroom vroom!"
Apparently cheetahs makes the same sound as Papaw's hot rod.
