Larkin completed his first 5k Run (mostly Walk) this past weekend. We all went out to support Maria Schaffstein's family. Maria is the NDA student who passed away in the car accident last school year. Almost 1000 people joined us!
It took place in "beautiful Park Hills, KY". It was beautiful and it WAS hilly!
The weather was perfect for us though. Just warm enough to make us thirsty!
Larkin, you had a good time chilling during the race. You also got to see your first nun! She almost beat us, and she even said she could go faster but the man with her was holding her back.
We placed 254, 255, and 256th. Out of 472 walkers, so not bad! Phillip actually got first in his age bracket! There were only 2 male walkers in that age bracket, but hey - first is first!
