Life as We Know it

The Taylor household is settling into as much of a routine as a newborn will allow. So really, none at all. Phillip went back to work last week and Larkin and I pretty much just hang out.

And sleep.

We've also ventured out a few times where Larkin can sit in his car seat in the bottom of a cart so no one will touch him. So far we've tried WalMart, Target, and Lowe's. He seems to really enjoy being out and about.

Papaw and Grandma's is the only other destination we've gone to. It goes pretty well, but he can get cranky really quick. Luckily it is easy to pack it up and go home so everyone doesn't have to listen to his screams all the time. But he enjoys the change of scenery.

Larkin, you like to take it easy but you are so busy growing! Each day you spend tons of time as "Mr. Turtle", your alter ego. This is who you turn into when you want to practice lifting and turning your head. Your neck stretches and your forehead gets the deep wrinkles... it's so cute! You also are becoming more and more aware of what's going on around you. You like to stare at the stripes on your bedroom wall. They fascinate you - which is kinda annoying at 3 am when I want you to close your eyes and sleep, but you can't get enough of the stripes. I can't wait to see what new things you'll grow into this week.
