Christmas Day we did our Santa thing in the morning, then evening was with the Link Family. But not all of them. So we did Links twice.
In honor of it being Grammy's Birthday, we broke out her favorite paper-crown filled poppers.
We were a tad more thrilled than the kiddos.
We got to open some presents, of course.
Maris got a creepy looking baby doll. Named Tessa.
Nik got a new computer from Santa.
And we played games. We moved up in the cognitive category this year.
We played a modified large group/team version of Banana Grams.
Plus we fulfilled the yearly tradition: watching Christmas Vacation.
Papaw is "watching".
It was Maris's first time seeing it so she was enthralled, obviously.
But there isn't much surprise left when we all quote it and yell things like "it's the squirrel part!" and "He staples himself - hahahahaha!"
It's who we're with that makes the watching fun.
