I know that technically MiniSchool isn't preschool, but it will be Larkin's only experience with school before the big kindergarten year, so we lived it up. Especially him.
He couldn't get enough of the fun art projects.
But also just the normal weekly homework. He worked hard on all those letters! Luckily SuperWhy had taught him letter recognition, so we were just working on writing them all out.
Then there were the class parties. Man, this kid loves being social and any reason to celebrate.
He really got into his Star of the week poster too. He wanted to do it all, so he drew pictures to put on it, wrote out his name, and picked out which pictures we should feature.
It still hangs in his room.
Big time fun also at the Parents' Day. He picked the skateboard race for me and the hippity hop for Daddy. Those things are no joke. Serious competition.
Loving his time at lunch and with friends.
Then suddenly it was time for graduation.
Wearing the same little caps and gowns that I wore for the very first Mini School graduation 28 years ago.
Probably singing the same songs, too.
He walked across the stage proudly and said he when he grows up, he wants to be a fireman.
Big celebration afterwards where he got a TMNT watch and tickets to Entertainment Junction.
Congratulations to our Big Mini School graduate! Please never stop growing in your love for learning and for our Lord.
