3 Month Baby

Maris is 3 Months Old

 

 

• We're not sure about official measurements because there was no Doc visit this month. It's safe to say that you are still a big baby. Just about grown out of most 3 month clothes, definitely grown out of size 1 diapers. EXCEPT FOR YOUR FEET. Those are so small even the newborn sized shoes fall off. So you wear a lot of fancy socks.
• Also wearing a lot of bibs because there is still a lot of spit.
• 
• Tummy time never lasts very long because you either spit and then rub your face all in it (ack!), or you roll over. You are a champ about rolling from belly to back - and I don't blame you because who wants baby spit up their nose? But back to belly hasn't happened quite yet.
  

 

• You sleep extremely well right now. About 8pm to 8am. Problem: it's all due to the burrito wrap we've got you pinned in. And your belly is getting too big for it, so you are no longer quite so tightly secured. Most mornings I go in there and you've got at least 1 limb flapping around with a big grin. Oh I dread the Miracle-Blanket weaning.

 

• You're really loving checking out everything around you. The mirror! Yea!

 

• The giggling started this month, which is one of the most gorgeous sounds on earth. Not you specifically, just baby giggles in general. OK, you specifically.

 

Maybe I say this every month, but it remains true.

No one loves this baby like Larkin does.

 Maris, you are getting so aware of what's going on around you and you just want to take it all in. This leads to lots of content time where you are happy to just exist. You make this too easy for us!
