Larkin is 9 Months Old!
Larkin Monthly Review - Issue 9
- You are getting so big! OK, long. You are 25 inches, which is the 76th percentile. 18 lbs. in the 10th percentile. Yikes. But you got a clean bill of health from the doctor!
- Your favorite place to play is the Tupperware drawers. You empty, I refill, you empty, I refill, repeat as necessary.
- You are walking all over the place, as long as you have one hand on something for support. Sometimes you hold onto a toy in both hands and forget that they aren't holding you up, so you stand on your own. Then fall.
- You haven't yet met a food that you didn't like. Even though you are only in the 10th percentile for weight, you eat enough for a 90th percentile baby. Daddy's metabolism. You are really getting good at the table foods too.
- Believe it or not, you might have broken through the half-hour-nap curse! (Knock on the desk!!) You have always been pretty good at going to sleep when I put you in your crib, and for the last few weeks you have routinely been staying asleep about an hour! 2 naps a day, sleeping through the night until about 7am.
- Current favorite game: Peek a Boo.
- You go up and down all day, and we have to say "Where's Larkin?" And you pop up, super excited. Not usually with a paci, but you had just woken up in that pic.
- You also enjoy talking on the cell phone. Unless someone is actually on the other end talking back, then you throw it on the floor and look around the room for the person.
- You are loving being outside! Every once in a while we get a nice warm day so we sit in the yard and you pull grass up and inspect it. Sometimes you eat it.
- You like to play the "How big is Larkin?" game, and you raise your hands up and giggle. I think Miss Susan taught you this.
Larkin, life is never boring with you around. You are always on the move and always checking everything out around you. Strangers are forever saying "He doesn't miss a thing!" And then you smile at them and wave "bye bye". You crack us up when you mimic us and the sounds we make. You've become a champion growler and you say "bye bye" after I say it to you 5 times as I try to corral you into your car seat. We love our life with our little boy!
