Maris is 6 Months Old!
Maris Monthly Review - Issue 6
- You weigh 15lbs. 6 oz which puts you in the 49th percentile. 26 1/2 inches long in the 74th percentile. We've about reached our max in the 3 - 6 month clothes, but still rockin the size 3 diapers.
- Biggest change this month: mobility. You've been rolling for a while, but now when I lay you down on the activity mat, you end up like this:
-
Ummm... this looks like a tasty lego. - The sleep is pretty wonderful. Mostly about 7:30 pm to 7:00 am. If you do wake up at night, we planned on letting you cry it out. Except there's no crying. You talk, spit, roll... happy as a clam. Then you go back to sleep.
- Naps are getting a little rhythm to them too. Usually a 1 hour nap about 9am - perfect for my workout. And another longer one at about 2pm. These is one little issue though...
-
I'm too lazy to train you to bed-nap. Still hanging in the swing.
- Also, you are getting really great at getting things to your mouth. For some reason though you always put the paci in upside-down. Check out the picture above. it's pretty cute.
- When you get excited you tend to wave your arm frantically. If there is a table in front of you, there's lots of banging on it.
- In more exciting news, the hair is finally starting to grow back in.
- Comb over is still alive and well. Obviously:
Maris, you are just so much fun! Your personality to coming though loud and clear. You love to watch your brothers and want to know what's going on at all times. But if they mess with you when you don't want them to - watch out. Lots of squealing. For the most part you are happy to be along for the ride. My favorite part of the day is when I go into your room in the morning after listening to your little babbling. As soon as you hear the door you get quiet, and when you see me your face scrunches up into the biggest grin. There may be a hint of dimples, but we're waiting to see if they stick around or if they are just a result of smushed chubby cheekies.
