Remembering 3 Years

Our little Larkin is 3!

What's new in Larkin's life?

Less than a month after his second birthday, Larkin got a brand new toy! I mean brother.

The paci went away not long after Watson arrived. It was traumatic for about 3 nights. There were no fits, but there was heart-wrenching weeping. Seriously, it was so sad.
Then he was fine and hasn't looked back since!

He FINALLY stopped eating baby cereal every morning and switched to normal oatmeal.
Every. morning.

We spent a lot of time at the zoo over the past year. Staring at a lot of big kitties.

Larkin helped build his first snowman this past winter.

He "shades" with his daddy every Sunday before church.

He still drinks milk like a champ. You never see him without his sippy full of it for long.

He's obsessed with his Mickeys. Also known as a robe that he wears after every bath or shower.

He loves to read books, and recently he started acting them out as well as just reciting them from memory.

Larkin has never been overly interested in sports of any kind (irony?) but he has been practicing with his daddy in the evenings. Maybe we're seeing a spark of interest. Or maybe he'll be a train conductor. Or train engineer? I can't remember which one drives the train, but Luke will tell me all about it.

He is definitely all about playing with his friends. A friend is basically anyone who looks at him nicely. He makes friends wherever we go. He also introduces me as "This is my friend mommy. She's Tessa." But he especially loves his church friends.

This is actually a change: he finally turned into a normal eating child. He doesn't love his veggies anymore.

His favorite thing is definitely his trains.

And his family.

On July 6, 2010 our Larkin was born at 8:03.

On July 6, 2013, he was blowing out his candles and celebrating 3 years.
