Watson is 9 Months Old!
Watson Monthly Review - Issue 9
- Watson, you are still in your size 3 diapers and wearing your 9 month clothes. You weigh 18lbs 3 oz, which means you've moved up to the 14th percentile! You are in the 40th percentile for height.
- We had our well visit at the doc's this month, and they took some blood with a finger prick. You were a little upset by that, but not much. Then the results came back. Anemic. So on to iron supplements you went. We give them to you in a dropper and the first time you spit them out. You smelled like a copper penny all day. The next time you swallowed the iron but made a face. And after that you just sucked it down like it was candy.
- You sleep like a champ at this point, but you do like your paci and blankie while you sleep. You usually take a morning nap and hopefully an afternoon one as well, but never at the same time as your brother.
- Check out the pull ups! You are finding things and trying to hoist yourself up, with a decent success rate. Just not quite to your feet yet.
- Favorite new toy: the basting brush. Yes, it's pink. Yes, it is a kitchen utensil. Strangers love to point this out to me like I didn't realize my child was chewing on something he stole from the kitchen drawer. Actually, it's never been used to baste, but I bought it for Larkin for the same reason. You guys love it.
- And big new milestone! Crawling! Mostly. Still a little unsteady, as you can tell from you facial expression in this pic. But you're on the move all the same. Time to hide the Squinkies!
