Watson is 6 Months Old!
Watson Monthly Review - Issue 6
- You are 15 lbs 4oz, which keeps you right there in the 13th percentile. 27 inches long so 65th percentile for height.
- You wear size 6 month clothes and size 2 diapers.
- You aren't crawling yet (thank goodness), but you do get anywhere you want to go with a combination roll/back scoot. Every once in a while you'll give a scream because you've got yourself wedged into some uncomfortable position... like the other day when your head was stuck under the bed but the rest of your body was flailing about on the outside.
- Big changes this month! Including eating food. You are a cereal champ, but this month we ventured into veggie territory. Hopefully with time you'll be a good eating boy.
| Not a fan of peas. |
- Sleeping is just wonderful. You sleep 8pm to 7am usually. Some nights you wake up between 5 and 6 am and Daddy has to put your paci in, but that's not too bad. Naps happen at a more sporadic time... usually a half hour in the morning and a long 2 hour one in the late afternoon. But we're flexible with those. You like to sleep with paci and a blankie. I caved and bought the ridiculously over-priced muslin deals because you can breath through them when they cover your face, which they do regularly.
- You still love to be naked, and you LOVE your toes. Your socks are always wet.
- What are we going to do with that hair?!? It is long and unruly , but only on the top. The sides are thinner and shorter, so if I comb your hair to the side it looks like a really bad toupee. Personally, I'm a fan of your mohawk look.
- After lots of practice, you have just about mastered sitting up on your own. This is maybe my all-time favorite milestone, because it means I can shop without the giant car seat taking up the entire basket in the cart! You still do a face plant if we leave you sitting for too long, because you reach for your toes.
- You can stand when you are holding onto something, but you get excited and your legs give out, so it isn't something we encourage.
Watson, you are a sweet boy! I love to hear you giggle and talk to your big brother. We are so blessed to have such a good baby to love. You make it so easy. I pray for your health and safety on a daily basis, and for you to grow in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
