You know it's really spring when you see this:
The Findlay Market Opening Day Parade! This was Larkin's first official participation in opening day, as well as his first parade. Big hit.
Larkin "Joey Votto" Taylor (you can call him MVP for short) was on the edge of his seat stroller almost the whole time. And it was a long time.
We were camped out on the side of the street for about 4 hours. One of those hours was just our obsessive need to get good seats, but the other three hours were genuine parade time.
We had some Coneys (free coney day at Skyline!) to hold us over until the parade started. And once it started, this kid couldn't point enough.
He was really excited about this year's Grand Marshall, former Red Aaron Boone.
Oh wait, that was me that was excited about him.
Larkin was more into the fun decorated school bus,
all the signs that had his name on them,
and of course, the Chick-fil-A cow.
He didn't much care for the actual baseball players, but oh well.
He was a good boy, but we let him out to play a little too. 3 hours is a long parade.
Happy Opening Day!
