Larkin is 11 Months!
(and has been for quite some time... too busy cutting and sewing 37 capes to blog around here.)
Larkin Monthly Review - Issue 11
- You are a growing boy! You wear 6-9 month clothes (ok, 3-6 pants sometimes) and size 3 diapers. Look how big in your Daddy's arms:
- You are sleeping 8:30 pm to 6:30 am (ugh.) but I'm not complaining because you still take great naps. Usually a total of 2 hours a day. For you, this is a slight miracle.
- You can say "Da Da" although usually only when a phone rings. You also make a "S" sound for shoe and a "B" sound for book or balloon.
- When you see a cat, or someone says "What does the kitty say?" you growl. Which is what Papaw & LaLa's kitty usually says to you. Smart kid.
- You have 3 teeth on top and 3 teeth on bottom. The two middle plus on on the left for the top; the two middle and one on the right for bottom. You look a bit lopsided.
- You love to carry around the remote and point it at the TV. You get excited when you change something, and then your Daddy has to fix it.
- Peek-a-Boo is still by far your favorite game.
You crack up!
- You are getting really good at stacking your blocks but find no enjoyment from knocking them down. So I do.
- You love bath time!
- And pool time! Which is a good thing because with a Coney pass and a boat in the family you spend a lot of time in the water whether you like it or not. And you like it.
This is your "I'm super excited to be at Coney" face. You get so pumped up you forget to smile.
And We Say Goodbye to (this is a big one)...
- CRAWLING! That's right, Larkin Lawrence is officially a walker.
You're not a huge fan of touching grass, so you wobble around and get a little unsteady.
But for the past month you have slowly been honing your skillz (yes, with a z) until you don't even mess with crawling.
Even if you fall down you jump right back up and take off on foot.
Really you only pause to take a poop. And that looks something like this:
Larkin you are all over the place! Usually you are running around and you've started climbing things as well so you keep us so busy. We don't mind at all! We are loving this new "little boy" accomplishment, but it is a serious reminder that babyhood is quickly coming to an end.
