Larkin is 10 Months Old!
Larkin Monthly Review - Issue 10
- According to our scale you are 18.8 lbs. You wear size 3 diapers and 9 month clothes (6 month pants).
- You babble a bit, and say "bye bye" and "Da da", but I still can't figure out if you know what you are saying or you are just mimicking what you hear. Either way, I think you are a genius (ha).
- You are sleeping like a champ! 8:30 pm to 7:00 am and two wonderful naps. I lay you down and you just stare up at me. I assume you go to sleep, then 1 to 2 hours later you're up.
- You are all about taking walks. You love the stroller and being outside to observe everything.
- Balloons! Any shape or size will do, but recently you've been loving the bunny that Kroger's gave you one day while grocery shopping.
- Talking to things. Sometimes you talk on cell phones. More often it's just your hand, or a Playstation controller - whatever you can find that you might mistake for a phone.
- We still get this face every time a camera is pointed at you.
- You love to help Daddy grill. Really, you just love your Daddy. When he comes home from work you won't leave him alone, which is why he has to grill with you.
- Another favorite Daddy game:
You like to sit on his shoulders and then lean over to look in his face. Sometimes to attack him.
- Marathon shopping trips! We used to go for hours and hours. Now you prefer to nap in your bed, so we go home for that. And for some reason you don't love sitting in a cart for a long period of time before you start to do this:
Which leads to this:
Or, unfortunately, THIS:
- Indoor Play. It's all about the outdoors for you. With whoever will take you out and entertain you.
- A clean house. About 2.4 seconds after you wake up, this is what our floor looks like. And it only gets worse throughout the day. Sometimes I clean up as we go, sometimes it sits there till you go to bed and I can run around and straighten up.
When you give a look like this, people will do almost whatever you want! We're trying hard to raise you right, and you make it so easy for us to love you, Larkin.
