Larkin is 6 Months Old!
And boy, have we had some changes. In short:
Larkin Monthly Review - Issue 6
- Doc check up looked good! You are 15.6 lbs; so the 15th percentile. You gained a percentage point! And you are 25 inches long, which puts you in the 85th percentile.
-I could tell you were much longer because you hit a major growth spurt and shot through your clothes! No, your pants are still a little off. In fact, you have a pair of 0 - 3 that still fits the best. But anything over your body has to be 6 -9 month size. Makes all those outfit sets kinda hard to manage. You still wear size 2 diapers.
-Night time sleep patterns haven't really changed. You sleep 8 hours, eat a little, then 4 hours more. I'm not complaining! Nap time is totally sporadic though. Some days it's 20 minutes, others it's and hour and a half. We are very flexible.
-You have teeth! During Christmas, you ate a piece of tissue paper. I stuck my finger in your mouth to get it out...and there was a tooth. We checked back the next few days.
Sure enough, within a few days there were 2. You were super clingy for a few days and only wanted your mommy. Other than that, it was not too tough. And you like to show them off.-You are mostly scooting around on your belly, but you are really fast and it gets you wherever you want to go. Another favorite new activity is climbing on people. You are pulling yourself all over the place, and then you fall off.
- In the midst of scooting around, you like to stop and give us "The Pose". It's pretty hilarious.
And we say goodbye to:
- A high crib mattress. When I found you like this (only higher) we decided it was time to drop your mattress to the lowest setting.
Now I just have to drop you into bed because my arms are too short!
- Other little things we are saying goodbye to as well: paci's, bottles, socks... All these things need to be updated to the older version. I had no idea 6 months was such a milestone!
Baby Larkin, you are getting more and more fun! Your personality is coming out and we love to get to know you more each day. We love our little fuzzy headed baby!
